Kapirum has senior consultants and also a strong network of associates with complementary skills and experience.
People do not change unless they understand why, and it is only if we have this understanding that genuine personal commitment to change can be achieved. We use our skills to engage with people at a deeper level in order to make this happen.
Simone Douani
Founder and CEOSimone is Italian by birth but has lived in London and worked in the UK and Europe for more than ten years. He has dual Italian/UK citizenship. His early career was as a singer and actor, graduating from "Conservatorio Teatrale" in Rome. Just over ten years ago, he moved into the personal development field by doing actor-led role-plays for some multinational companies. He found he had a real fascination for this work and started doing more facilitation, and then the design of training programmes, also becoming an ICF ACC accredited coach. He is particularly keen on issues of leadership, diversity and unconscious bias. These are the reasons why he set up Kapirum.
Now, after ten years himself, and with a small firm, he has significant expertise in developing people within the workplace. He regularly receives excellent feedback (link testimonials) from high profile demanding clients. He has worked with a wide range of clients such as Merck, Deloitte, and Louis Vuitton and so understands many different business environments/cultures. He has an infectious style, passion and humour that most clients seem to like (he even sang a requested piece of Opera for one group at the close of the session - you don't get that with Helmsley Fraser!) His expertise covers coaching, complex communications skills for managers and leaders (feedback, difficult conversations), diversity, unconscious bias, and aspects of leadership development. He is accredited in several relevant methods/tools (see qualifications below)
Simone is passionate about this kind of work and feels that his performing background is a positive strength in helping people to improve. Like many of you, he has seen poor training done, where little engagement with participants is achieved and the link to business needs is also poorly made. He and his Kapirum team are keen to work with similarly minded clients to achieve results we can both be proud of.

Anna Elena Pepe
Senior ConsultantAnna has an unusual background. She has dual citizenship and language - Italian /UK. She has trained and worked in both drama/acting but also spent some time as a scientific researcher (PhD in cardiovascular medicine). This is a mix which gives her a performer’s understanding of people but a good sceptical mind on evidence/results and what produces results. In addition, she practices a Buddhist philosophy that helps focus whilst juggling multiple lines of work. She soon realised that her performing skills were in demand in people development and started with roles as trainer and role-player.
Now, Anna is a well qualified and experienced coach. She has a wide range of methods to work with (see qualifications) and can tailor these to meet individual client needs. She has expertise in 1:1 coaching, facilitation, negotiation, people development and performance, and various forms of complex communication. She has a particular interest in coaching women to be more successful in the workplace. Over ten years she has worked with a wide range of well-known businesses, such as EY, Kraft foods, Trip Advisor and has had excellent feedback from these. She can both design and deliver training programmes.
Anna is very keen to work with clients who share her belief in the importance of people and development. Her work focusses on realising strengths and helping people to increase their capability, confidence and performance.
